I returned home from DC in two days' drive. long days. And I arrived to a heinous head cold and a hawk. One resides in my face, just behind my nose and eyes, and the other is in my back yard. The blue jays like to do flybys and harass him, and the neighbors say he has been here for a couple weeks. I am so lucky to have my own resident Broad-winged Hawk. So much bird drama occurs with him perched above my house. And I like hearing him call, it makes my sinuses feel better.
